학교정보
NZTC (New Zealand Tertiary College)는 Certificate 과정부터 Master 과정까지 유아교육에 관련한 모든 프로그램과 을 제공하고 있는 유아교육 전문학교이며, 뉴질랜드 전역에 운영되고 있는 Kindercare Learning Centre의 CEO에 의해 1982년에 설립된 학교입니다. 캠퍼스는 오클랜드에서 20분 정도 떨어진 Greenlane 지역의 오클랜드 캠퍼스와 남섬 크라이스트처치에 위치하고 있습니다.
교육전문 학교 중 유일하게 Distance Learning을 운영하고 있는 것이 특징인 NZTC는 현장에서 실제 교사로 실습해야 과정을 수료할 수 있으며, 주당 최소 16시간 이상의 유치원 실습이 요구됩니다. 실습 시 자원봉사 교사 또는 유급 교사로 일할 수 있으며, 실습 중 학교로부터 과제를 받아 공부해야합니다. 더불어 온라인으로 튜토리얼을 수강해야 해당 과정을 수료할 수 있습니다.
유치원 교사 자격을 위해 등록이 필요한 교사 협회 등록은 3년 과정인 학사 과정인 Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education Level 7) 과정 또는 Graduate Diploma(Level 7) 과정을 졸업 시 등록이 가능합니다.
Bachelor of Teaching 과정의 1학년은 캠퍼스에서 이론 수업을 하며, 2~3학년은 Distance learning으로 학력과 경력을 동시에 쌓을 수 있다는 큰 장점이 있으며, Graduate Diploma 과정의 경우 50주의 학업 기간 안에 14주의 Field Practice Full-Time (40시간/주) 과정이 포함되어있어 학업과 실습을 병행하며, 경력을 쌓을 수 있습니다.
