학교정보
뉴질랜드 수도인 웰링턴에 위치한 웰텍대학과 휘티레이아대학은 2012년부터 전략적 파트너 체결을 함으로써 학생들과 교직원들에게 폭넓은 기회를 제공하고 있습니다. 두 교육기관이 함께 지향하는 바는 모든 학생들에게 양질의 교육을 제공하고, 학생들을 실제 산업과 지역사회에 필요한 인재로 양성시키는 것으로, 학교에서 제공하는 과정 역시 영어과정 및 Certificate 코스부터 학사와 석사 과정까지 다양합니다.
1904년에 설립된 웰텍대학은 약 8,000명의 학생이 재학 중인 규모 있는 국립기술대학으로, 100년 이상의 전통을 가진 뉴질랜드의 오래된 교육기관 중 하나이며, 웰링턴에서는 두번째로 오래된 교육기관입니다. 웰텍대학은 학생들에게 다양한 산업 주도적인 과정을 제공하고 있으며, 학생들은 이를 바탕으로 직업의 목표를 실현할 수 있도록 수준 높은 실용적인 기술을 배우게 됩니다.
1986년에 설립된 휘티레이아대학은 졸업 후 학생들의 높은 취업률과 문화적 다양성을 지향하는 국립기술대학으로 뉴질랜드 교육평가심의위원회인 NZQA가 인정한 1등급 우수 학교입니다. 약 6,200명의 학생들이 재학중이며, 학생들에게 제공되는 과정들은 우수한 응용학습을 위해 실제 산업과 연계해 개발되었습니다.
두 학교의 총 4개 캠퍼스는 웰링턴에 위치하고 있으며, 메인 캠퍼스인 Petone campus를 포함해 Porirua campus, Te Auaha campus, Hospitality campus, Construction campus가 위치하고 있으습니다. 각 캠퍼스간 이동을 편리하게 하기위해 학생들에게 무료 셔틀 버스가 제공되고 있습니다.
본과 과정 외 아카데믹 영어과정과 NZCEL과정을 운영하고 있으며, 특히 NZCEL 영어과정 수료 시 레벨에 따라 공인영어시험 접수 없이 웰텍대학과 휘티레이아대학 본과 과정으로 진학이 가능합니다.
